Originating hundreds of years BC in Asia, the crêpe was brought to the western world in the 12th century. Traditionally known as galette (buckwheat), the crêpe is made with flour, eggs and milk - no added sugar. The batter is poured on a hot griddle and spread thin using a smooth wooden rake. It is then filled with savoury or sweet ingredients, such as fresh vegetables, meat, and fruit.  The Crêpe Café brought traditional, healthy crêpes, pancakes and waffles to Australia in 2001 and continues to serve these tasty treats as a snack and for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Overflowing with veggie goodness, our Vegetarian
crêpe is packed with mushrooms, pineapple,
tomato, spring onion and corn, and garnished
with a light sprinkling of cheese. 

FLORENTINE
Fresh spinach, smooth fetta and thickly sliced
mushrooms with lashings of creamy bechamel
sauce make this crêpe a culinary work of art. 

TRADITIONAL BOLOGNAISE
Bursting with Italian flavour, this scruptious
crêpe is filled with beef and tomato bolognaise
sauce, garnished with traditional herbs and
topped with grated tasty cheese.

MEXICAN
Treat your taste buds to a warmed Mexican
crêpe, filled with spicy beef and beans, and
topped with fresh guacamole and sour cream.

CHICKEN PESTO
Wrapped in a crispy warmed crêpe are layers

marinated in a tangy green curry sauce and

Catch our fresh barramundi, prawns and crab
meat crêpe smothered in a rich mornay sauce. 

NORWEGIAN
A crispy crêpe with generous strips of smoked
salmon, fresh asparagus and spring onion,
with lashings of creamy bechamel sauce and
topped with finely grated cheese.

Crepes Suzette were brought to America by Henri Charpentier, a French chef who became John D. Rockefeller's chef.




The largest number of pancakes tossed in the shortest amount of time in the UK is 349 in 2 minutes (Dean Gould at Felixstowe, Suffolk, 14 January 1995).




The longest pancake race in the quickest time was held in Melbourne, Australia on 19 February 1995 (Jan Stickland covered 384m in 59.5 seconds).
